Known as He-shou-wu in China where it has been much revered for centuries as a restorative tonic and prescribed for many conditions. Has been called the elixer of life. A vigorous, vining, perennial, herbacious plant it dies back to its base in cold climates, but can grow over 30 feet tall where it doesn't freeze back. Hardy to zone 7.
