One of the best extra early ripening varieties it has a good balance of sweet and acid. Yellow green back ground blushed with orange red streaks. Medium sized fruit is abundantly produced on a solid attractive upright branching tree. Originating in England in 1810, it was a very popular apple back in the Victorian era.
