Beautiful dark red medium to large fruit has crisp, juicy, aromatic and sub acid yellow flesh. Originated in Tennessee around 1855 on the farm of Michael Kinnard, it ripens in September and October, but stores well and hits its prime. when eaten in January. Truly a great old apple well adapted to Southeastern climates.
