Also known as Western Redbud ,it is a beautiful small tree or shrub in the Legume family. A very tough and drought tolerant plant it is extremely showy when it is in bloom with its abundant bright purple flowers. Great fall color and the long lasting large rosy papery pods give a showy look well into the winter.
