California Aster is also known as Pacific Aster is native to the west coast from British Columbia to Southern California. The late blooming beautiful blue, yellow and lavender flowers attract many beneficial insects and are a host plant for the Northern Checkerspot, Field Crescent and Pearl Crescent butterflies. Easy to grow it makes a tight clump that can reach 1 to 3 feet in height.
