A female clone of Diospyros lotus, known as the Date Plum . Its small fruit is used in India where it is native fresh and for preserves. The seed is used to grow Lotus rootstocks which are used for topworking Asian and American varieties onto. Both a male and female tree (or branch) is needed for pollination and to produce fruit.
