Fuki is a lush perennial plant with huge leaves and early spring flowers. An excellent plant for around ponds, streams and other moist areas. Its 3 foot long stalks are edible and used by the Japanese as a vegetable. Dramatic 2 1/2 foot round dark green leaves make for a lush effect in the landscape. Fragrant spikes of white daisy like flowers appear in the spring before the leaves emerge. Hardy zones 5-9.
