Native to South America and known as Taxo in Ecuador, it grows between 5 to 9,000 feet elevation in the Andes It is also a popular vine in the milder areas of the US. and is productive of long yellow and very tasty fruit that has an orange pulp. Often used for juice, it ir rich in vitamins, minerals, flavonoids and antioxidants. THis distinctive and much admired passionfruit has beautiful pink flowers, lush vigorous growth and is hardy down to 28F for brief periods.
