Description

A very tough drought tolerant nitrogen fixing leguminous small tree that has many edible, medicinal and other homestead uses. The pollen rich golden flowers are good used to make fritters. Grows about 20' tall and sends up many stems making it excellent for coppicing and using the wood for fenceposts, building poles firewood and more. Very ornamentla when in bloom. Also known as Black Wattle, it is a native of Australia and is considered hardy zones 8-9.
